The Vineyard

A deer-fenced vineyard of ~0.1 acre with 110 grape vines, mostly Pinot Noir, is adjacent to the structure. No herbicides or non-organic pest control compounds are used in growing the grapes or making wine. Community members participate in pruning and harvest and bottling the final product, Oak Creek Conservancy Estate-grow Pinot Noir which has received rave reviews from the few people who have tried it.

Recently the fenced enclosure was expanded which allowed the planting of three espalier-pruned apple trees and two cherry trees, each of which is grafted to yield multiple varieties of fruit. There is more room for additional trees and plants.
